BBC must keep the brain dead engaged just look at the programmes all before it .

Then again its good to see Antonio do it I let him do on the wife if he keeps scoring.

Man love.

MotD2 showed more of Antonio's goal celebration than anything else in the match...

Can you imagine Joolian and Mad Dog in modern day Premier League football......they would probably be banned most of the season!

We seem to have a team with the same guts or grit as our team did with Martin Allen, Julian Dicks & Alvin in it....except this current mob are less obvious and are more clever than to get involved in a slogging match.....

Did enjoy Wood getting “duffed up” by Dawson shortly after he had tried to leave a mark on Dawson.

Wood has bullied us a few times in recent seasons so some justice yesterday seeing him rolling about :-)

Other lower teams are boring to play against as they are less expansive against us now

I agree - I found our directness and mental toughness most pleasant on the eye. Sort out the final ball and we're a bit of a prospect in fact.

when I referred to being like Arsenal I wasn't thinking of playing for off sides, more grinding out 1-0 wins as we have for the last 3 games.

Is it me, or has every win against a team in the bottom half of the table greeted with "that's a game we would have lost before" on here?

So if we were constantly being beat by teams in the bottom half, what were we doing against teams in the top half pre MOYES?

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Burnley - Official Match Thread
What I’m liking is unlike the top teams who can generally out play their opponents and over whelm them week in week out, we are doing a thorough job and tinkering with how we decide to counter the oppositions strengths we are finding them out and doing the job. Yesterday was a prime example in that we needed to get an early goal to then get them to attack and we threw in a few bits of the aggression they usually dish out AND without their screams and rolling about...

We are the ‘give them a bit of their own medicine’ team at times and I’m enjoying it....

Were better on the eye than a George Graham side . At least Moyes doesn't play the offside trap . Graham's side's while successful were bloody murder to watch .

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Burnley - Official Match Thread
Of course not we have been there in the past and took some heavy beatings. All I ask is that we compete (which we do) for 90 minutes and not be blowing out of our arses after 70 minutes like we did latterly under Bilic and the majority of the time under Pellegrini.

Yes the move for Antonio's goal was one of the few good passages of play we put together.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Burnley - Official Match Thread
Quite well very happy with the way we are playing, and competing.
We seem to have 11 players who on most weeks are able to match the speed and agility of the best while putting a shift in. Grafters!
For far too long we have carried players, gone out with ten men.

Some deluded morons on here seem to think that we should be playing like Pep Guardiola’s Barcelona.

I think its bollocks to say were not good on the eye. Were an organised side that can play aswell. Our goal yesterday was a great bit of play.

We are not good on the eye at the moment but we are good at what we do. Are we the new Arsenal under another dour Scot George Graham?

Strange psychology when we have our best ever start to a Premier League season, to dig out a guy who’s just turned 22 and is the team skipper and a regular International for England.

*Superb Burnley side*

Three words I never thought I would see in the same sentence.

I must have been unlucky to only catch them over the years playing bang average hoof ball, by and large.

Rice is not the messiah some make him out to be but "hiding"?!! What? He doesn't hide from the ball or shirk a tackle. What a strange criticism to make.

Who said anything about expecting to beat them?

On the flip side, I don't think it's beyond the realms to expect not to be rolled over by them regularly.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Burnley - Official Match Thread
Apologies, we've had a terrible recent history against an absolutely superb Burnley side.

So, if Burnley are poor and finish above us regularly, what are we?

Why should we be expected, to beat them regularly?
